我習慣買花放花瓶，兒子看見了就說：「家附近有花啊，我去摘。」
只見他小小的身體在一片綠裡東忙西忙。
摘完回家，他把摘來的小花握得緊緊，花莖都爛掉了。
小花太短，只能「掛」在花瓶邊緣。
這詭異的花瓶卻也挺可愛的。
I often buy cut flowers and put them in the vase. My son says to me. ‘There are flowers near our house. I’ll go pick some.’
I watch his tiny body hurrying here and there amid the green.
By the time he finishes picking, he has held the flowers so tight in his hands that the stems are squashed.
The stems of the flowers are so short that they can only “hang on” to the edge of the vase.
Nevertheless, this strange flower arrangement looks rather lovely.
